364 days a year, the Netherlands is a country in motion. But once a year we stop to gather in silence. Vocal Ensemble Irrevocable invites you to commemorate with us on the 4th of May, with two minutes of silence and with music. Loss, hope and peace come together in various pieces, where we not only commemorate the Dutch victims of violence, but also all others that lost their lives through war or in peacetime, or are still losing their lives.
The music will start after the national two minutes of silence, and was chosen together with the singer and the conductor Wouter Verhage for their beauty and symbolical value. Commemorate with us, with music of, among others, William Byrd, James MacMillan, Tijs Hol and with A Ukrainian Prayer of John Rutter.
The memorial concert will be in the Petruskerk in Leiden (Lammenschansweg 40a, 2313 DM).
Start: 19.55, doors open 19.20.
